Great, authentic Nepali food. A rare treat. Kind service. So glad to have found this place. We will be back!
Authentic atmosphere & terrific brewed coffees. Service was great. Owner was nice and a good conversationalist
Great for unsweetened chai. The garden atrium in the back is a little tranquility in the middle of a bustling tourist beach town!
beautiful home cooked food, the best seasoned lentil soup I've ever tasted, organic fair trade coffee and tea, warm ambiance, clear love of Nepal, the decor is charming and so are the people who work here.
Great people and food! Clean bathrooms! Definitely stop by.
Very flavorful! We had the Nepali special which had 5 different samples of their appetizers and the vegetarian biriyani. Both were delicious. There were only two people working so it was a bit slow service, but worth the wait:)
I have irritable bowel syndrome and I asked the chef if he could modify the food according to my need, at first he agreed but he brought really spicy curry which was not a good option for me. I think the lentil curry was pre made. So he refused to modify it.
This food is authentic, delicious, and affordable! Comfy restruant with great service! The coffee and tea are fantastic. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner! If your in Lincoln City make the time to come here! You will not be disappointed.
Strong NO to visit this place. There was just one person who welcomed us, was the waiter AND the chef, and the accountant. The quality of food was very poor (literally I've had better when I did not know cooking and cooked for myself)
We really wanted to go. They are closed. Permanently?
Wonderful food. My favorite meal in Lincoln city. I had the cheese omelette with deep fried potatoes. My lunchmates kept stealing the potatoes off my plate! We also had the paratha which was excellent. 10/10 would return. Fresh food and kind owners.
A great family run restaurant and coffee bar. It is equally aimed for tea and coffee drinkers as for people out for a full meal. The food is heavily seasoned, as you would expect for its type. I would recommend it for all with an adventurous taste in mind.
We love this place! Unobtrusive service, and tasty food keep us coming back.
Great spot and refreshing when visiting Lincoln city...good food, service and beautifully decorated. Authentic Nepali snacks, soups and curries.
This restaurant has an absolutely fantastic atmosphere, firstly. The back patio is so gorgeous and tranquil. It is also covered to keep the elements out but lets light in. The tea selection is great. If you are new I'd highly recommend the Nepali kitchen special (it's like a sample plater.) The family is very nice and while they do have their son helping out he is a good little waiter and a sweetie. Do be warned service can be a bit slow but it's a leisurely kind of spot. Also, super duper cheap.
Visited Depoe Bay from Portland recently... stopped in at Nepali Kitchen randomly for some vegan food the first day. It was so good. We ended up going back the next day before heading home! Ate here two days in a row! And now, a week later, I'm sitting in my car in downtown Portland wishing I could have more! Great prices for excellent food. I would eat here twice a week if I lived nearby. Seriously. So good. Thank you for the wonderful food and atmosphere.
Awesome food and really good atmosphere. We had the classic skillet and vegitable curry that was out of this world!
Great food, and atmosphere. Will be back next time we're in town!
We have really enjoyed your lunch , simple and healthy, in the nice beer garden. Fair price for simple and healthy food, well cooked. Not a fancy place if it's what your looking for...
We were driving through the highway 101, had a meal here. A wonderful place to stop by with friends or family. Felt like home! Loved the food. Nepali style interiors is reviving.
Good food, took quite a long time for ordering & food. Not the best customer service. If you’re used to eating good Indian food this is the only place around Lincoln that offers something similar, I’d suggest checking it out.
Great Nepalese food, I got the chicken curry
What they lack in customer service (the male owner is a bit.of a grump), they make up for in delicious affordable food. The chicken curry is delicious, the dumplings are to die for, and everything I've tried here is good. I've been to Nepali Kitchen about 10 times. Always yummy!
Love these authentic Indian cuisine. Just perfect quick serve by a young man. Sure will be back again. Gotta have it
Authentic Nepali food in authentic Nepali style. You won't be disappointed if you haven't had Nepali food before and just want to try!
Great food, and the only restaurant from the Indian subcontinent in the region.
Great food. Loved the ambience and atmosphere. Felt like nepal. Nice people too.
Excellent authentic food and the best chai in a lovely atmosphere. The garden seating is really wonderful.
Absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, food, service and authenticity are all spot on. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a down to earth, reasonably priced, and delicious meal. You will absolutely love it!
A decent place to have some food.
We arrived in the afternoon on a Monday and the space was empty except for us and our server/owner. He was helpful, welcoming, and calming as a host. The ambiance and space were charming and inviting. There seems to be a space that is the restaurant and a space that is more of a calm study or reading space. They also have WiFi. for lunch, we ordered the vegetarian momo (potsticker), egg curry, and paratha. I also got the napali chai and my partner-boyfriend-man got a earl grey lavender tea. We also decided to try the coconut ladoo (a dessert). All food and drinks were delicious! They also have a coffee bar and can make espressos and lattes. They may not have drip coffee except in the mornings. We'll be back in the morning to try their breakfast and have a coffee.
Well, it's not much to look at. Lots of themed decor. A gentle smell of curry in the air. Menu is small, limited and not very broad in representation of the foods they are going for. Ie: south Asian, Himalayan, Tibetan ect... clearly family owned and ran as the young man took our order. Maybe 16 yrs old, maybe.. nice kid all the same. As we await the food we can hear the kitchen working. Sounds like his mom is in there. Could be a great sign. Fingers crossed.and food has arrived, presentation is very home style. Dishes are very spicy. Curry is heavily influenced here. For those who are adventurous and freely living give a go. It's simple home cooking, but wasn't terrible.
Interesting place. Appeared to be family owned. The food was way to spicy to enjoy.
Unique, but very pleasant and the food was good.
Good food. Momos were delicious
Delicious place to eat, very unique, my fiancee and I decided to play hookey from work one day and decided to go to the coast! So worth it! We got to sit in the back of the restaurant, it was really warm and full of Zen. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something other than the normal restaurant scene.
Great little delicious spot with a variety of foods to choose from!
Vegetarian food review: Oh wow. What a hidden gem in this place. A must try. They made us Aloo Poori for late lunch even though it was a breakfast thing. Also tried veg momos. Yummy. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu soon. Very cute interiors and a covered mini garden.
Just stopped in for coffee, so no food info today. I did want to say that this place has a serene vibe to it. I'm sure it's different in the busy summer season, but the quiet atmosphere filled with some truly fun Nepalese accoutrements made for an enjoyable experience. Ended up staying in the back half of the building and resting in the comfy chairs, the sunlit areas competing with the quiet shadows.
Calm, welcoming place with good drinks. Family run with a computer repair shop next door.
Great momos!!! Ithas got authentic Nepali taste. Well maintained place and family that run is kind and nice. The achar that comes with momo is very little. Ambience at the place feels like that of Nepal. Back area need more lighting.
This is a great little restaurant in Lincoln City. I am originally from Nepal and the food is as authentic as it gets here in the States. The pakodas are great and the momos and dal bhat really remind you of home. My only caveat is that the curry dishes don't come with dal but not a super big deal. I like my food spicy but the food here is not but still very flavorful. The chai tea is also spot on. Overall Nepali kitchen is a must if you are stopping by Lincoln City and are looking for something exotic and tasty.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Food was amazing. I have tried Nepalese food elsewhere and this was hands down the best. The chicken momo were perfect, fresh, and juicy. The accompanying sauces were perfect. The chicken curry was great and you can't beat the price! I got the Nepali Chai to go afterwards and I ended up going back the next day for another one. Literally it was the best chai tea latte I have ever had. Whatever their blend is, is just stunning.
Totally great, came here for breakfast on our honeymoon. The breakfast menu is standard American faire so there's something for everyone. The latte was excellent, as were the curries and paratha. Clean and beautiful decor.
Wonderful experience at Nepali Kitchen! Dongal, the owner, is from Nepal and cooks delicious native food. The flavors of curry and spices linger on the tongue and just make me happy. More than this, Dongal and his delightful son make you feel welcome and fed both in body and spirit. Sit in the back patio room by the fountain, so tranquil! They offer meat, vegetarian and vegan options, coffees and teas and the aroma when you walk in the door will tell you you're in the right place.
Immediately upon entering the restaurant we felt unwelcome. The owner seemed entirely unhappy to have us in his restaurant. Some of the food was decent, but the curry had chicken bones and a lot of cartilage, plus it was lacking flavor.
For an affordable and quick meal that's healthy and authentic, look no further. Menu doesn't offer a wide range of foods but there's vegan and vegetarian too. A great tea assortment from various black, white and green tea as well as yummy homemade chai and coffee. My only complaint would be that if you don't know Nepali food the menu can be confusing. There's no explanation of what a dish is or what's in it. Pictures are tiny and black and white and staff explaining things can be hit or miss. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
After being in Lincoln city for 4 days this is hands down the best meal we've had the whole trip. Had the chicken momo, appetizer combo special, nepali bread, chicken curry, and chai. So good.
This unique restaurant was an extremely pleasant surprise! My girlfriend and I gave it a try for a lunch date and I ordered Gwarcha with Chicken and a Peach smoothie, they were so delicious and it was a great first experience as I've never had Nepalese food before. The service was also great and there was only the one guy there, he took our orders, made our drinks, cooked our meals and took care of us afterwards so this gets 5 stars.
Quiet patio off the road. Fabulous food. Loved the potstickers and chicken curry.
